Come stay minutes away from the beautiful Linville Gorge. This area has everything from amazing hiking, mountain biking, climbing, skiing, snowtubing, to just enjoying the breathtaking scenery. This is a one bedroom guest house separate from the main house located in the neighborhood of Gingercake Acres with an amazing view throughout the space. There is also a bonus room with a futon. Enjoy sitting on the deck and enjoying a view of the mountains and a spectacular sunrise. The space Our guest house is located off of Table Rock Road in the neighborhood of Gingercake Acres. Table Rock road is a direct road into the Linville Gorge with several hiking trails and other outdoor activities. There is a propane heater and large AC window unit, or you can use the natural AC and open the windows for a nice breeze. the AC unit is removed from October to May to help with heat retention in the guest house. There are two TVs with an apple tv for streaming that can be moved from room to room. Our internet is the best we can get for our area. It will stream TV, make zoom calls, and can handle a couple of devices but may run a bit slow at times compared to what one might be used to in more populated areas. We also have a full kitchen with a small fridge and freezer, gas stove, microwave, and coffee maker. The kitchen is stocked with basic cookware, oil, salt/pepper, coffee, sugar, and tea. Anything beyond this we encourage our guests to bring. There is an outside table on our deck with a beautiful view of the mountains, or we also have a bar with 4 barstools. Linens and towels are also provided along with a sheet and bedding set for the futon. The sleeping arrangements are one queen bed in its own separate bedroom and a futon in a room open to the main living space but with a privacy curtain that can be closed. While we do allow 4 guests, this space is best suited for couples or families. Two adults sharing the futon is usually not the most comfortable setup. Please be aware that because this is an apartment over a garage, you must be able to climb a set of stairs leading up to it. We also are kid/pet friendly and have a baby gate for the stairs. However, it is our guests' responsibility to baby/pet proof the space based on their own needs. ** We are happy to welcome one pet, however if you are wanting to bring more than one pet special approval is required- please send us a message*** Guest access The guest house above the garage is all included along with one parking spot. if you have more than one car coming just let us know and we will make room in the driveway. There is also a firepit in our side yard that guests are welcome to use. Other things to note We are pet friendly! ** We are happy to welcome one pet, however if you are wanting to bring more than one pet special approval is required along with an additional pet fee, please message me before booking** -Pets must be kept on leash when outside and you must clean up after your pet. Pet fee covers extra cleaning involved after their stay - Please note that we also have 2 dogs on the property, while they are friendly, they will bark at new people and especially new dogs as they are protective of their backyard space. ***please note that until you connect to our wifi, cell service is spotty. Downloading maps and check in instructions prior to arrival is highly recommended *** Our location is remote. We are closer to Pisgah National Forest and the Linville Gorge than we are to any towns. Banner Elk is a 20 minute drive, Newland is 15 minutes, Linville is 15 minutes, Morganton is 30 minutes, and Boone is about 40 minutes away.
