Cabin Creek Getaway (Letchworth) Waterfalls/Forest

100 acre private forest just 15 min. from Letchworth Park, N.Y. featuring a secluded cabin next to a cascading stream with waterfalls just above the cabin! The cabin is off the grid/no electricity, with modern conveniences like solar for lights, LP gas powered refrigerator, and a composting toilet. The property contains 100 acres of forest, trails, and abundant wildlife. Swain Mountain Ski Resort is just 4 miles South, and 7,700 acres of NYS Wild Life Management Area is only 1/2 mile East! The space Terry and I thoroughly clean the cabin ourselves (No “Cleaning Staff”) in preparation for your arrival, treating ALL surfaces with anti-bacterial cleaners, including our mattress pad & pillow covers. The space is 100 Acres of private forest! The rustically beautiful cabin is completely off the grid! (The cabin is easily accessible in both Summer & Winter.) Solar power provides 12 volt electricity for lighting. Water is gravity fed. The bathroom is equipped with a composting toilet. LP gas powers the hot water, stove, and half-size refrigerator. A natural heating wood stove turns the cooler evenings comfortably cozy. (Note - December 1 - April 14 the cabin is dry. Water will be hauled in for you, and a camp shower facilitates hot showers. Our indoor composting toilet is unaffected by winter temps.) We encourage our guests to bring your own clean bedding including sheets, pillow cases, and blankets or a sleeping bag. Bedding is available at $15/bed, payable on arrival. (Let us know if you are requesting bedding). Bath towels, wash cloths and hand towels, percolating coffee pot, equipped kitchen, and a small library of outdoor & self-sufficiency books are provided. Guest access Guests can enjoy the secluded cabin, large covered deck and outside camp fires. Wood is available for purchase. The cabin is within an easy twenty minute drive to so many attractions: Letchworth State Park (Grand Canyon of the East), Stony Brook State Park, Swain Mountain Ski Resort, The Mount Morris Dam, and 7,000 acres of State Wildlife Management Area. Wine Country Tours start within an easy 40 minute drive in Naples, and Niagara Falls is a little over an hour and a half away.
