StarsBOX in Alta Langa | Zan Farmhouse

Reconnect with nature at Cascina Zan. Cascina Zan is a farm in a pastoral setting in Alta Langa. A secluded and panoramic place, it is reached by a 1.7 km dirt road, emerging from the woods to find itself on a hillock in the sun, with about 5 hectares of pastureland. The main house is the owner's residence, who is also a qualified hiking guide. A network of hiking and biking trails starts from the farmstead. The space Inspired by the shepherds' temporary shelters in the Ligurian Alps, it modernises their form and function StarsBOX is a symbol of a new, lighter and more conscious way of enjoying nature, thanks to the evocative power of a unique experience. StarsBOX is more than a nest: it is a synthesis of shelter and travel, a dream box where you can get drunk on stars and light up with fresh dawns. Half tent, half hut, it offers protection but can also open up to the sky to display all that nature has to offer in terms of aesthetics. Guest access Our StarsBOX is located on a panoramic hill between woods and meadows, and can be reached by a path a few dozen meters from the dirt access to the farmhouse. The experience is one of total immersion in the rural environment of the Alta Langa. For StarsBOX guests, we provide a bathroom at the farmhouse, about a 5-minute walk away, an outdoor area with a picnic table, and a kitchen-living room with a fireplace, where you can cook your own food. Near the StarsBOX there is a private compost toilet (field toilet). The cost includes breakfast with products from Cascina Zan and the local area. Bath and bed linens are included. Other things to note We can give you directions for hiking or biking from the farmhouse, and GPS tracks that can be uploaded to your device. In the surroundings you can rent e-bikes (Paroldo), and you can visit and taste wines in the cellar (Dogliani, Farigliano). From Paroldo, you can also walk to the lavender crops of Sale San Giovanni. Among the services we can offer, the organization of the picnic at the StarsBOX, takeaway by my neighbors of Cascina Raflazz, but served here in the farmhouse. The cost is €15.
