Charles 1st Cottage is a quaint Grade II listed 400yr old Tudor cottage in the heart of Henley-on-Thames. It is full of charm and character. The cottage is located a stone's throw away from the River Thames and is perfectly placed for walking and cycling. It is close to the famous Henley Regatta course and the many festivals that are hosted by Henley. Situated in town, it is a short walk to restaurants, cafes, shops, pubs, cinema and opposite the theatre. It provides the perfect getaway. The space This is a small, cozy cottage perfect for couples. The lounge is on the ground floor whilst the kitchen and bedroom can be found on the first floor. The cottage is Grade II listed with exposed original timbers and period features. You will be living in a house from a bygone age so the floors are a little uneven in places, the staircase is steep, and the beams are low on the ground floor. Guest access We have paid parking on the street and both short and long stay car-parks nearby. River Thames is at the end of the street. You will find many wonderful shops, pubs, & restaurants within a short walking distance. Other things to note Please be aware that this is an old house with uneven floors, small spaces, low ceilings and a steep staircase.
