All rooms are equipped with a PRIVATE BATHROOM, independently adjustable air conditioning, as well as free WiFi Internet connection and are all non-smoking. If you smoke, you can ask for a room with a balcony for a small fee. Each guest is free to leave and return from the building at any time with their own key. The vegan breakfast we have decided to offer was born mainly as an idea to make this philosophy of life better known as well as a healthy and nutritious diet, so the price includes the possibility of being able to enjoy a fabulous 100% vegan breakfast every morning, with gluten-free options and many new flavors and colors. 100% vegan continental sweet and savory breakfast available to all guests from 8.30 am to 10.30 am IMPORTANT: Starting in 2022, we have decided to take a step forward in the emotional well-being of our guests: there will no longer be a TV in the room. Internet continues to work very well. Our philosophy leads us to have a different approach to the time spent in front of the TV, which is actually wasted time and stolen from ourselves, as well as being wasted time, it steals space from social interaction, negatively reprograms emotions, influences the vision of life and creates unrealistic expectations and feelings of inadequacy. We have many books and comics in various languages that guests can read during their stay. Other things to note Our guest house was founded in the 1950s by grandmother Adriana and her husband Raffaello, a well-known artist in the area. The building was also their home, you can still see today on the ground floor their old living room, now converted into the breakfast room with the characteristic ceiling hand-painted in 1956. In 2008, after more than 50 years of continuous management, their son Jacopo decided to completely renovate (previously, there were rooms with only one shared bathroom per floor) and converted it into the guest house it is today: each room has its own private bathroom and some are equipped with a small balcony overlooking the characteristic Strentelle alley, the picturesque road that connects the Scaliger Castle to the pretty Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, whose origins date back to the 1400s. Jacopo, a good artist heir and also an art master, decided to decorate each room by hand with very particular characteristic styles, each room boasting a painting with different tones and shapes.  From the time of the renovation to today, it has been managed by the third generation of the family: the grandson David and his partner Marta: we have made some improvements every year, in order to give our guests as many comforts as possible.  For this reason, we decided to offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy a fabulous 100% vegan breakfast every morning, with gluten-free options and many new flavors and colors. Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge, Wi-Fi, private bathroom, bath and bed linens, and we also carry out daily housekeeping.  Our rooms can accommodate 1 to 4 people, and a fold-out bed can be added if you are traveling with an extra person.
