This spectacular apartment is located in the historic district of the city of Porto, in a square that dates back to the 17th century: Praça de Carlos Alberto. Today, it is the most cosmopolitan square in the city. The city's most iconic monuments are a few minutes' walk away. The Carmo Church, the Lello Bookstore, the Clérigos Tower are just a few examples. It has good infrastructure around it, such as the Santo António Hospital, 150 meters away, the University of Porto's Polo1 and the Carlos Alberto Theater. The space The accommodation is located on the top floor of a historic building that has been completely renovated recently. It's a 2-story apartment: - On the 1st floor: there is the entrance hall, a bathroom with a shower base, a kitchen equipped with essential utensils and appliances (there is no dishwasher), a dining table, a smart TV and a sofa. Next to it is a small balcony with chairs so you can enjoy a moment of rest or have a drink. On this floor, as it faces the back of the building, it overlooks the colorful facades of neighboring buildings, so typical in this city. You can also appreciate the detail of the apartment's exterior coating, the shale, also very usual in the historic buildings of Porto. - On the 2nd floor: there is the bedroom, a huge wardrobe and a work table. The internet is very fast throughout the accommodation. Therefore, you have all the conditions if you need to work during your stay. It is a bright apartment and has a window with a privileged view of the city's rooftops and its iconic skylights of historic Portuguese houses. It can accommodate 2 people. There is a door on the stairs that can be used to close access to the upper floor, ideal for those who use the space for work. If you come with children and need a crib, bathtub or high chair, you will need to request it at least 1 day in advance. If not requested in advance, the items will not be in the accommodation and will not be grounds for any refund request by the guest. Each floor has an air-conditioner. The accommodation has a washing machine. The building has no elevator, so access to the apartment, which is on the 4th floor, is exclusively by stairs. Extra care is required when coming with children: stairs, windows and balcony! Guest access The stay includes access to the entire apartment, (except for the locked cabinets located in the bedroom, next to the window), as well as all appliances and utensils available in the kitchen and all hygiene and cleaning products available in the accommodation. Other things to note Warning: If you can't climb stairs or don't like to do it, this apartment is not suitable for you! We also do not recommend booking this accommodation if you are bringing very large and/or heavy bags. It will be painful to climb 4 levels with a lot of weight. This accommodation, being located at the rear of the building, has the advantage of being quiet, usually with little outside noise. However, on weekends or on festive occasions there may be some noise outside. So if you insist on having quiet nights, you should keep that in mind. Rehabilitation is underway in buildings near the accommodation and there may be noise on weekdays (Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.). It's a situation that is beyond our control.
