Rental unit in Baltimore
Description
Affordable and welcoming accommodations w/ all your essentials for your stay at a fraction of what you would pay in a hotel. The pad is located in the perfect spot to visit Fells Pt, Canton and Patterson Park Neighborhoods. I have considered the outdated bathroom, and character flaws of a home built in 1920. You can hear the tenant upstairs walking so if you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. As of May 21 this house is listed for sale. There may be the occasional showing. The space In case you miss it elsewhere: no designated parking… street only; no laundry on site but laundry mat is within walking distance. Full kitchen, with basic essentials, to make your stay more enjoyable. Bedroom: queen size bed and additional sofa. TV, DVD player with some movies (no cable). Wi-Fi only no cable tv. Amazon Firestick connected to living room RV for streaming shows and can be moved to bedroom tv. Living room: TV, desk, queen size sleeper sofa. Xbox with games and 1 controller. If you are a light sleeper this may not be ideal for you. Tenant in apt upstairs and sound can travel down. There are ear plugs in night stand drawer if you desire.. Unit is on the first floor with private entrance way and private bathroom. As of Nov 2019 I have opened the adjoining kitchen up for use too. As of Aug 2020 I added more space to make a living room. I’ve increased your space to around 800 sqft without increasing the cost. Rest of the 1st floor is my storage. Please respect my privacy and do not go in blocked off areas or else you will be charged for damages and thefts accordingly. Price is discounted because it’s unique and not a typical Baltimore rehabbed space and it has a tenant upstairs that may be heard walking above. If you book you are accepting that so I don’t think it’s appropriate to downgrade my rating because my claw foot tub has stains in it because it is 100 years old or you can hear the neighbor. I love this home for the original built in cabinets and shelves, the original hardwood floors and the character. The high ceilings and front windows provide beautiful natural morning light in the bedroom. If you have vampire tendencies or your stay may result in a lazy or hungover morning I do have eye mask in the night stand, if the morning light is to much for you. If you are sensitive to dog allergies I do bring my dog over on occasion when I’m doing work or turning the unit over. I obviously vacuum and so forth but if you have super sensitive pet allergies I do not recommend here for you. Pictures depict your stay and the size accurately. Guest access Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and backyard. Other things to note This home is original 1920 and hasn’t been rehabbed. What does that mean? There are imperfections and creaky floors. Original claw foot tub in the bathroom. Do not hang on shower curtain rod..it’s a unique setup and costly to repair. Space is ideal for 4 people. I’d entertain allowing 5 if it’s a family and kids but not a party crowd. If you are traveling with children this will not be ideal space if you are not supervising the crawling and early walker aged kids. There is art and other items that are easy to be pulled down and knocked over if kids are left unattended. There is space for a playpen and you can close French doors in living room to make a safe kid zone space. If you are traveling by plane, with small kids, and would like to minimize your luggage and would like a playpen and booster seat added please let me know and I will see how I can accommodate. I can probably even provide stroller for single kid and I have a snap stroller for twins, if needed.
