Waterfall Campsite is a perfect place to relax in nature with electricity! Peaceful sounds from the continuous waterfall, this site has perfectly soft ground for tent sleeping and plenty of parking on the driveway for vehicles. Vans and small RVs fit in space, back in for easy exit. No water hookup. Hike into woods for a cold outdoor shower of spring water flowing from pipe. Dry, chopped firewood is available for $10 a bundle. 32' x 35' tent site, plus plenty of parking. The space You are welcome to take hikes on the 97 acres. Continue up the lane, passing the Airbnb Cottage, the host's log cabin, and the Airbnb Lodge. Then follow the road on your right which leads you up the hill where you will find more campsites. At the top of the ridge, you will have a nice view of the sunrise or sunset, overlooking several valleys. It’s about a 15 to 20 minute hike to the top. At the top of the ridge, you will reach a fork in the road. Going left will take you to the Lumberjack campsite and turning right will take you to several more campsites and a small memorial garden. The trail goes down into a steep ravine and up the other side. From the high location you will get cell service. Wearing bug spray during the summer months will avoid ticks. The road and campsites are well maintained and you are less likely to get ticks if you stay on the main dirt road. Feel free to explore the spring-fed, crystal-clear creek. There is a road that leads to the creek by the bridge. At the creek you will find a rope swing, hammock, plenty of rocks, minnows and crawdads! It’s a very peaceful place to just sit in a camping chair, put your toes in the water, and listen to the gentle stream trickle by. In the yard between the three homes you will find a swing set, table, chairs, and fire pit, which is close to the swing set. Dry, chopped firewood is available and can be delivered to your campsite if ordered ahead of time for $10 a bundle. If you have need anything during your stay or to use the wifi in the parking lot, please feel free to come to the second home up the lane, which is a two story brown log cabin (390 American Way). We hope to host you and your guests at Peaceful Hills Retreat very soon! Guest access You will have access to fresh spring water flowing into a pipe right from the rock. It’s delicious. You will drive right past it on the way into Peaceful Hills Retreat. It will be on your right hand side just as you turn onto American Way. Feel free to fill up your bottles here. It’s cold and refreshing. Other things to note You may see wild turkeys in the yard, or the deer at nighttime. There is plenty of wildlife here.
