This apartment with its spectacular mountain views and private garage is located on Blank Slate Farm, a small private farm in a quiet country setting. There are many great trails in the area. Day trips can be made to many other areas, including the coast or the White Mountains. Spend summer evenings on the deck enjoying amazing sunsets. Perfect place for a romantic getaway! Rates vary by season. The space Not only are the views amazing, the apartment is spacious and comfortable as well. The small galley style kitchen is simple but functional, and has a pantry for all your storage needs. There is a large dining room with a cathedral ceiling, cozy living room with Roku TV and dvd player, a three season porch, & a large deck. The bedroom has a king size bed, room darkening shades, a walk-in closet with luggage racks, plenty of drawers & hangers and a full bathroom with laundry. This in-law apartment is attached to the main house, but has it's own private driveway, entrance, garage and deck. The entrance is via the garage and up a staircase to the floor above. The windows of the main house do overlook the deck and back of the apartment, and the owner's patio borders the backyard (which means you may occasionally hear conversation while outdoors or if the windows are open) but you will still have all the privacy you want inside. There is no connecting door between the apartment and the house, and the only shared walls are along the three season porch, so there is very little sound carry over between units. Unlike some rentals, we won't give you an exhausting list of chores to do before you check out. Our checkout instructions are very simple: clean up any messes you've made, wash dishes that you've used, leave the key on the kitchen counter and lock the doors on your way out. That's it! No need to strip beds or load the washing machine, we'll take care of that! We wash all sheets, blankets, bedspread and decorative pillow shams using perfume-free detergent out of consideration for those who are sensitive to strong scents. Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment, which includes a small 3 season porch, large back deck with incredible mountain views, and a private driveway and garage. There is plenty of storage space in the garage for all your outdoor gear. Large pickups will not fit in the garage, but most average vehicles will. Please be sure your car has no leaks, electrical problems or mouse nests hiding in the engine before parking indoors. Other things to note 1. The hot water does take a minute or two to get hot, and although it's a comfortable temperature, it does not get super hot. 2. This is rural Maine, which means there may be bugs. Please help us keep them outside by keeping screen doors and window screens closed. Thank you! Please also keep the garage door closed to keep wild animals outside. 3. For our guests with electric cars, you will find several charging locations in town. The closest is at the Paris River Park just a few minutes away. This charger is almost always available. There are also chargers at the high school & police station.
