Cosy and quiet cottage nestled in the Cotswolds

Stay in private guest accommodation within our characterful 300–350-year-old Grade II-listed cottage. Relax in the cosy snug beside the wood burner and explore beautiful walks from the doorstep. Our recently upgraded Wi-Fi provides a fast fibre connection with strong coverage throughout. Guests are welcome to enjoy our extensive garden, summerhouse and BBQ. These are shared with our family, who live on the property, but the garden has plenty of room to find a peaceful spot of your own. The space The cottage is next to Gatcombe Park and is well placed for exploring the Cotswolds. Tetbury, Nailsworth, Stroud and Cirencester are approximately 10–20 minutes away by car, while Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham can usually be reached within around 40 minutes. Our local pub, serving good food and real ale, is approximately a 20-minute walk away. We are also happy to recommend other excellent pubs and places to eat nearby. The bedroom and bathroom are reached by a steep, characterful staircase with a handrail. This may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Guest access The garden, summerhouse and BBQ are shared with our family, and you may occasionally see us using the garden during your stay. The garden is extensive, so there is plenty of room to find a peaceful place to relax. Guests are welcome to explore it and enjoy the beautiful views from the top. Other things to note As you would expect from a centuries-old Grade II-listed property, the cottage retains many original features and characterful quirks. The bathroom features a traditional bath, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day exploring. It includes a handheld attachment for rinsing; please note that there is no separate or stand-up shower. As part of its historic character, the cottage has some low ceilings, beams and doorways. Taller guests should expect to duck in a few places. The stairs leading to the bedroom and bathroom are steep and may not suit guests with limited mobility. The surrounding country roads can be narrow, so please drive carefully.
