This is a traditional stone house, in the middle of a complex of three houses, which share a large outdoor courtyard with shady mulberries and wonderful views and with private tables for each house to enjoy your food, coffee and quiet atmosphere and the magnificent view to the gorge of Rokka.Ideal for families and couples.You can rest under the shade of the trees, enjoying the view of the wild goats on the top of the mountain on the west and the spectacular gorge on the east. The space Rokka is a semi-mountainous village with approximately 30 permanent residents, in western Crete.Limestone rock is the characteristic stone of the area which creates the identity of the geographic region.The amphitheatre-like view of Rokka ,the natural beauty of it's gorge and the energy from the rocks establish this archaeological area as unique in all of Crete.There is also the old church of St.Antonios which has a secret path ending to the other side of the mountain, called Trouli.It is said that local people used to hide in there to escape from the intruders.If you visit Rokka in summer, don't miss the "GIORTES ROKKAS" which is a celebration of the arts organised by the residents.The idea behind this event is to bring together the raw beauty of the local community with the highest expression of art forms, every summer.
