My goal is a place for you that is simple in design and function, and easy and pleasant to live in. For now, I am only accepting monthly stays for this private basement bedroom with shared bathroom, shower room, library, and shared (ground-floor) kitchen and dining room. There may be another AirBnB guest in the upstairs bedroom (see A Simple Place - Monthly Stays). Nebraska charges tax for stays of 28 days or less. To avoid that tax, you'll need to book for at least 29 days. The space The bedroom is small. The bed is twin-size. The shower stall is also on the small side at 32"x32". The area of the basement by the furnace is cluttered. However, if you're a single person looking for something inexpensive, this could be the ticket. Guest access In addition to your private room, you will have access to the bathroom, shower room and other common areas of the basement, as well as the kitchen and dining room on the ground floor. You'll be welcome to hang out in the yard, perhaps on the tool shed deck with a cup of tea, or jumping on the trampoline. During your stay You are always welcome to text, call, or knock on my door. Other things to note Kearney is a sweet town with both a community college and a branch of the University of Nebraska. People are friendly. A Simple Place is located in an older neighborhood a block from a small park and not far from a hike/bike trail and large park with a climbing tower, arboretum, and senior center. The neighborhood is safe. I have great neighbors.
