Selby Organic Farm Stay - the perfect getaway!

Selby is your perfect getaway in the Riverina. An exclusive, safe place to relax in peace & quiet. An environmental property, amongst vast bush land with abundant wildlife, farm tours, bush walk, bird watch etc. If it's cool you can sit by a campfire gazing at stars! (Closed Dec & Jan) PLEASE BE AWARD DUE TO COVID-19 ANDREA WILL NEED TO TALK TO YOU The space Our farm stay has been operating for a few years now, but we are still finding our way, but ever so helpful! So much to do...you can bring your own bike/s (puncture proof your tyres!!), bird watching, bush walking, get up close & personal with our pets & much more. Selby is a working certified organic farm. You will be the only one/s here in very comfortable accommodation, supplied with games, cards, puzzles, TV & DVD, radio etc. There is limited mobile phone service & internet only by your provider, which is pretty good as past guests have mentioned. Why not pack a picnic for the afternoon...we supply backpack, picnic rug, thermos etc. You are completely self sufficient and can pretty much go anywhere you can walk. You can be alone as much or as little as you like, your farm experience is all in your hands.... WE WOULD LIKE IT NOTED HERE: that your cost includes the option of a continental breakfast consisting of juice, cereal, milk, bread & farm fresh eggs (if their laying). We would also like you to know for your convenience as travellers we have a few extras to save you bringing too much with you eg: margarine, oil, tomato sauce, foil, gladwrap....that sort of thing. Hoping this makes it easier for you. When you make your booking with me I will ask if you want this breakfast or not. (as we live out of town getting these supplies in fresh takes some organising & I am finding many visitors are not using them...so now I will start checking what YOU would like.) Guest access You will not have to share anything while you stay in The Shack, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONES HERE.... The tar is to our driveway, then a little dirt to your accommodation. Our access is all weather & vehicles - you do not need 4WD. There are some parts of the house yard you will not be able to access example Rons workshop & sheds etc, but as for the farm land it is all yours to wander around at your leisure Other things to note We offer farm tours for $100 maximum 4 people for around 1 to 3 hours, depending on how busy Ron is or what he has to achieve while taking you on the tour. This also includes morning or afternoon tea when you come back. See first hand what a farmer has to do (always on duty), poddy lambs to feed (sometimes), chooks need doing & you might even be able to help with some light duties. Griffith is the closet big town at 75ks away (45 minutes), so remember if you plan on staying awhile bring your own supplies, especially bottled water if you are not wanting to drink the rain water we have here. Water is very precious, we are not on the pipeline & rely totally on rain water for the house & to fill dams. However if you are just passing through, Rankins Springs is 5 minutes away with a shop for basics & take away food and it's a Post Office too. PLUS we have a wonderful Hotel that have cold drinks, lovely country cooked meals & that are always served with a smile!
