It is situated in the renowned village of Alne, just 10 miles from York and with easy access to Harrogate, the Dales, the North York Moors and the Coast. The village boasts a dining pub and a recreational park minutes away. The space Chute House is part of ‘The Maltings’, substantial brick built agricultural buildings dating from the 1850’s used for storing and malting barley grown on local arable farms. This grain storage facility and malt house ceased operation in the mid 20th century and was converted into homes in 2003. Chute House, the largest of the six homes that form ‘The Maltings’ hosts evidence of a drying kiln and grain chute.
