Tucked away in the Roosevelt National Forest, far away from the city we invite you to truly experience the Rocky Mountains. At almost 9,000 feet the Castle in the Clouds offers magnificent views and a remote quiet location away from the city. We have a few neighbors but you can barely see their house through all the trees and well enjoy the quiet view of the mountain wilderness out back. You have the perfect view from the deck! Be aware that Denver and Boulder are 45min drive down the gorgeous mountain. Plowing does happen but 4x4 is recommended Dec thru April because of SNOW. Most of the snow falls March and April - 3ft at a time. So if your looking to get snowed in? Book your visit for March & April, it happens often. The House provides big views of Roosevelt National Forest with sliding glass doors that step out into your private deck. Enjoy your dinner with a view of the mountain or enjoy wine while you stargaze. This is CASUAL cozy high vibrational positive space that offers a luxurious jacuzzi tub, simply stand up in the tub to enjoy your private view of the mountain. TV has a Fire Stick to enjoy Amazon Video, Netflix, Youtube, and other streaming services. Or you can hook up your HDMI computer and watch a DVD. There is also a simple porch that provides a view to our couple of neighbors through the forest. It's a great place to snuggle on the couch and watch the sun set or watch the dogs play! A full kitchen with an oven, dishwasher and all you need to enjoy a view right from the kitchen table or from the deck. Enjoy your coffee cozied up with a warm blanket staring at a mountain of trees covered with snow. This is a great honeymoon suite with just one Sleep Number Queen Size Bed with a gorgeous view of the forest and just a few steps out the sliding glass door to your private deck. Two is our maximum allowed to stay in this space, please don't invite your friends to stay. DRINK THE WATER FROM THE TAP! A modern miracle with a fresh, local personal mountain spring connected to the house with a full house filtering system so that we can all just drink from the tap! (Oxygen helps most with altitude sickness) There is NO public transportation. There is NO close by stores so please bring food, drink and so forth with you. Nederland, CO is 30mins away. Coal Creek Canyon has a liquor store, coffee shop, and convenience store with gas - its 15-20mins down the mountain. You might have seen it on the way up? Don't blink, its super small! YES we are 420 friendly, NO TOBACCO SMOKING other than in your closed vehicle (COUNTY LAW) - 40 mins from Denver or Boulder, closest grocery is 20mins or more, secluded yet in a neighborhood. No Cable tv but we do have Fire Stick allowing for streaming on Youtube, Netflix, and other online services. HDMI hookups. COVID-19 precautions are followed for social distancing for check-in and other interactions that might need to occur on your visit. There is a UV light installed in the heating system. We leave at least 24 hours between our guests for quarantine to keep the hosts safe as well as to leave plenty of time to clean and disinfect in between guests. We appreciate that most folks visiting us are just looking for another place to isolate and are interested in reducing their risk.
