Peaceful and scenic PlaVada Woodlands is located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains on the Yuba river on Donner Summit off I-80. We are 15 mins to Donner Lake and Truckee and just a bit further is spectacular Lake Tahoe. Donner Summit area has some of the finest skiing in the world, it's an ideal location as your base for hitting the slopes. Locally -Soda Springs Resort, Donner Ski Ranch, Royal Gorge, Sugar Bowl and Boreal. Squaw Valley and Alpine and Northstar are half an hour away The space We bought the cabin and gutted it and remodeled it and now it's magical! 2 bedrooms and one bath Swiss chalet on the Yuba river remodeled with no pennies spared, Alpine cabin chic style, pillow top mattresses, lots of dvds, down comforters and pillows, Pendleton blankets, good pots and pans, fabulous sheets, coffee bar with Nespresso machine, Persian rugs, wood burning stove and lots of fire wood await you arrival. This is our happy place, please take good care of it. Please don't smoke inside. The carpet upstairs is white - NO shoes upstairs !!! NO dogs!!! If you really can’t come without your fur baby, please contact us and we can talk about it. WE HAVE WI-FI! Don't leave the candles burning unattended. The floor in the bathroom is stone so bring slippers if you think your footsies might get cold!! There’s a little community beach almost at the end of Conifer. Grab a lunch and have a picnic, lots of ducks will be there. Hang a right out of the cabin and right on Conifer. Walk almost to the end and on the left side you will see a metal gate. ( I think there’s a No trespassing sign on it). Walk past it and towards the river. During winter — Our roads are regularly plowed by our own HOA guy. Driveway is also cleared. The stairs are as well. Driveway is plowed when your car is not parked in the driveway, stairs will be shoveled when they have access to the house. We also have shovels on the porch.
