Ashtrees Cottage

Ashtrees Cottage is in a beautiful rural location and has Loch Leven Nature Reserve on its door step. The Balgedie Toll Tavern & Levens Larder both less than 10 minutes walk from the Cottage. Its a great place to explore towns and villages around the East Neuk of Fife, Edinburgh, St Andrews, Gleneagles, Stirling and Glasgow all within 60 minute drive. Its a great place to base yourself if you are planning to explore the Lowlands and Southern Highlands of Scotland. The space It's a former school house for farm children in the local area, dating back to 1760 but it has all the modern conveniences needed to give you a relaxing holiday. The living area is on the first floor with wonderful views from all the windows overlooking the Lomond Hills and Ochil Hills and beautiful countryside with big skies over Loch Leven. There is a modern kitchen including dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. A wood burning stove, smart TV and Wi-Fi. The ground floor has a modern bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. The main bed room has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom a "bespoke built "adult sized bunk-bed . The cottage will welcome you and wrap itself around you keeping you warm and cosy. In the cooler month the wood burning stove adds another dimension to relaxing. The small garden is fully enclosed. There is a utility area in the garage with washing machine and dryer and can be used as extra secure storage for bikes etc. Guest access There private parking for two cars in front of the cottage. Other things to note The cottage is all electric. The central heating runs on an electric boiler and the hot water comes from a pressurised hot water tank, two separate systems.
