Renovated lakefront apartment, downstairs from the main home. It is located on beautiful Greene Mountain Lake with year-round lake and mountain views. Wildlife on the lake includes geese, herons, ducks, osprey, eagles, turtles, and beavers. The setting is serene and peaceful. You will have a private entrance and a covered porch. Pedal kayaks are available (with short training) for your use on the lake. Unit approved with a Special Use Permit for Tourist Lodging by Greene County. This is a large living space with a private bedroom, a kitchen area, a living room and a dining/game area. There are views of the lake from these rooms. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and sink. There is no stove, but a hot plate and electric skillet are available. The area is very private with lots of open space adjacent to the lake. This is a downstairs apartment that includes a covered patio, backyard and lake access. There is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs with cushions to enjoy the sunset and lake/mountain views. We will be available most of the time since we live upstairs. This is a lovely rural area with views of the Blue Ridge mountains and Greene Mountain Lake. Shenandoah National Park is just a 20 minute drive. This area is known for its wineries as well as many activities in nearby Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. There is a Walmart 10 minutes away and some convenient restaurants in downtown Ruckersville. There are also many established antique stores in this area. We are 25 minutes from the Charlottesville airport. You will need your own transportation to use while you are here. The town of Charlottesville is just 30 minutes away. We are conveniently located close to the Shenandoah mountains, hiking trails, Walmart and the towns of Stanardsville and Ruckersville. Charlottesville is only 30 miles south.
