A 4 bedroom timber cottage on an 18 acre property in a secluded area of Lough Derg. It is off the beaten track and a heaven for young families and active teenagers. The lake is at the end of the garden and there is a safe harbour to swim in. There is a woodfired sauna by the lake. The space There are 18 acres around the house. This is mostly mature native woodland and guests are welcome to explore. There is also a private harbour. If you book in for the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights), we don’t do a clean on Sunday’s. You therefore have the use of the house to checkout as late as you like on Sunday. Or on bank holidays check out late on the bank holiday Monday. Guest access The house is beside a small harbour which typically has a few boats in it (a barge, a cruiser or two, a RIB and a speedboat). These are owned by the owner and close family and friends. During your visit other people may be staying on one of the boats. However when the house is rented, guests have sole access to the house and surrounding garden. Guests are welcome to borrow a canoe kept in the harbour. There is a stunning swimming area from the jetty. Other things to note The house has bed space for 8 (2 doubles and 4 singles), but we limit to 6 adult guests, as there are only 2 bathrooms. There is basic Wifi in the house with download speeds up to 5MB/s.
