Downwind Cottage is a cozy retreat with expansive views over Orcas Island to the distant Canadian Gulf Islands. The Cottage has a separate bedroom with a queen bed and views of the Northwest woods just out the window. The sitting room has glorious views of East Sound (the water) and Eastsound (the town). And the kitchenette is perfect for preparing simple meals. Get out the wine glasses --- the sunsets are glorious from the deck The space Orcas Island has been listed by the New York Times as one of the 52 places to visit! "A small island attracting big-time foodies... If you want to hike, or ride a horse, the island’s Moran State Park will be adding trails to its 38-mile network this year." Downwind Cottage is in the heart of it all! Guest access The entire cottage is yours --- including a wrap-around deck with comfy outdoor seating and dining table. It is located about 100 feet from the main house, surrounded by a grove of madrona and Douglas fir trees . The total property is more than 9 acres of Northwest woods and rocky outcrops.
