Though our house, and all our surrounding neighbors, are in perfect (and beautiful) shape, you will see houses being built in the neighborhood, and contractors parked along the street during the day. In Glen Ellen, we’ve all pulled together, and we are renting our guest house to a couple who lost their home in the fire. Please be respectful of the community and our neighbors – if you are looking for a party house, this probably isn’t the place for you. If you are looking to relax and have an incredible time in the most beautiful place on earth – then welcome! Thanks – Rachel & Kevin *** Stunning California living, remodeled Summer 2017 – incredible 2000 sq. ft redwood deck with beautiful views overlooking Sonoma Creek in the heart of Glen Ellen. New Master “spa” bedroom/bathroom with French doors out to hot tub and outdoor living room. Wood paneled living room opens up to our new dining room, seamlessly passing through to outdoors. New heating and air conditioner make for comfort year round. The house sits on ¾ acres of landscaped nature, with roses and oak trees a plenty. Within a two-block stroll are world-class restaurants – the Fig Café, the Glen Ellen Star and the Glen Ellen Inn and Oyster Bar – as well as tasting rooms, the Jack London Lodge and the Glen Ellen Village Market. The house is equipped for a great stay in wine country. Beautiful country kitchen with all the amenities you’d need for a long vacation in Sonoma County. Gas range, new refrigerator, microwave, and outdoor gas grill – just show up, as we take care of all the details: pots, pans, dishes, utensils, condiments, olive oil, coffee and more. In front of the house is our herb garden – parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme – whatever you need. Grab whatever fruit is in season from the trees and plants on the site (plum, fig, citrus, blackberry, and more). Roses surround a lawn, and hummingbirds keep score as you play a round of bocce or croquet. Afterwards, head down the redwood stairs to stick your toes in the water at the sandy creekside! At our house, comfort is key, as you sleep on either of the new comfy queen-sized beds, or relax and read in the living room, with full-size fold-out sofa bed and recliner. The main bathroom has heated tile floor to take the chill of those NorCal winter nights. If you need to stay connected to the world, there is a flat screen SmartTV with basic cable, and free internet WiFi. But better to be lulled to sleep by the bubbling sounds of Sonoma Creek. Situated in the historic Sonoma Valley, dozens of wineries are nearby, including our favorites: Benziger, Imagery, and Valley of the Moon, among many others. Glen Ellen abounds with nature – you can walk to Sonoma Valley Regional Park from the house, or enjoy nearby Jack London State Park, Quarry Hill Botanic Garden, and more. A 12-minute drive takes you to Sonoma Plaza, and Russian River or Napa County are in easy reach for even more incredible wines. We hope you love our place as much as we do. Welcome! Guest access You will be renting the main house on the property, and will have access to the wider property, including a fenced off yard. Plenty of parking - the left side of the carport, and in front of the garage are for the main house. Feel free to roam the gardens and creekside, but please respect the neighbors!
