"Rufus" is a private downtown Guest Studio located on the ground floor of Gabriel House, in the Downriver Historic District and listed on the National Register. The keyless entry opens directly into your studio. There is no "sharing" of space. It has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, coffee/sugar/cream, dishes, sink and complimentary wine. Situated very near the river, it's within a short walk of downtown restaurants, shops and music venues. It is a very comfortable and private space. My husband, Luc, and I live on the upper floor, but we spend much time away from home. We may or may not be on the premises during your stay, but we are available via phone. We also have someone managing our properties when we're away, and you'll be provided their phone numbers. So if any issues arise, help is always available. An old brick carriage porch with breezy ceiling fans is located on the back of the house and available for guest use if desired. Although we alternate our time between Mississippi and Belgium, I am always available via the Airbnb site. We have someone managing the property when we’re away, but I will be your initial contact. Should you have any needs, we will see that you are promptly taken care of. :) Rufus Guest Studio is located near the Natchez Visitor Center and Canal Street which leads downtown, but we are on a low-profile side street. So traffic is not an issue. There are many Victorian homes on the nearby streets, and downtown shops and restaurants are just 2-3 blocks away. Driving and parking are easy in our town, but you're welcome to leave your locked car at Rufus and walk the short distance to the downtown area if you'd prefer. It is a beautiful and safe walking area. Your personal entry code is sent via Airbnb site message upon booking confirmation. Please make a note of it for your arrival.
