Great location if you want to attend events at the Westpac Stadium or just get to know Wellington City and stroll along the wooden decks at the waterfront or else you can escape the town for the lovely tranquil walks along the Northern Walkway up on Te Ahumairagi Hill immediately behind the flat/house, with its spectacular bird life including Kākā, kotare (kingfishers), tui, riroriho and tauhou. These birds also descend to the trees around the flat. Thorndon Swimming pool nearby. Number 14 bus from bottom of our road will take you to Te Papa, the national museum, and to the nice restaurants at Courtney Parade. The number 14 bus will also take you to the beach at Oriental Bay, where there are public changing rooms and fresh water showers. The bus stop is right next to that beach. Guest access Please be advised that the property has no available off street parking. We are at the top of a steep cul-de-sac, so walking up the hill can poise difficulties for the elderly or infirm. There are two 2-hour street parking spaces outside, but free to park there longer outside 8am-6pm. These spaces are often occupied by others. Ten minutes walk away free parking is readily available.
