Description
A tri-level cabin in a quiet town, 45 minutes from Truckee and downhill ski areas. Nearby are mountain lakes for fishing and boating sports. Enjoy nearby hiking/biking/motorsports/golfing. Full kitchen and a roomy family room with a wood stove as a secondary heating source. Multi-split heating/ac, fiber optic WiFi, and Smart TV. A laundry room with washer/dryer, a full bathroom, and outside porch areas with propane BBQ. Pet friendly. There is plenty of parking too, so bring the boat and toys! The space This is a private, non-shared residence. The main floor requires no steps when entering through the back porch door. The master bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed, and is where the kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, and spacious living room are. There are interior stairs on this level that will take one up to the loft or down to the lower-level bedroom and mudroom. The lower-level bedroom is where guests enter when snow has built up on the path that leads to the back porch/main floor level. The lower floor has a mudroom, and a bedroom has both a queen size bed and double size bunk beds with stairs that lead up to the main level. The upstairs loft floor has a double bed and two twin sized beds. This is a tri-level home heated and cooled by a multi split unit, with electric “fireplaces” in the master and lower-level bedroom, and there is also a wood stove on the main floor. The kitchen is fully functional with a dishwasher, coffee maker, small microwave, and juicer. The table will fit 6 and the fold out game table will fit another 6. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo. The front porch faces toward a park where you can practically whistle your kids home. The park also has basketball hoops, tennis courts, and a baseball diamond. The back yard has a charcoal BBQ and faces wilderness where there is lots of privacy. The yard is not fenced and is sloped enough for easy sledding, but the roomy back porch offers space to just watch if that’s the preference. There is nearby quad, sledding, mountain biking and snowmobile trails so bring your toys. From the backyard is the trailhead to Calpine lookout, Graeagle for golf, eating out, beer/wine tasting and cute shops (15-minute drive), Sierraville for biking, hot springs, and a shooting range (15-minute drive), Gold Lakes with great hiking and swimming at Sand Pond (25-minute drive), and Portola where a grocery store and public pool are (30 minutes). NorthStar, Squaw, Alpine, etc,. ski resorts and Truckee are about a 45-minute drive away and birdwatching in Sierra Valley is beautiful. Jackson Lake is a 30-minute drive known for great fishing and boating fun, including wakeboarding/water skiing. Well behaved pets are always welcome, but please note that pets that are prone to excessive shedding, barking, accidents, and/or chewing should not be in this home. Guest access Private home and yard. The yard is not fenced. Other things to note The sloped driveway that leads to the back entrance is long enough for a trailer. There is plenty of parking.
