Nestled amongst the beautiful rural landscapes of Raglan, Victoria is our little 8 acre property Valdara. Wake to the sound of birdsong and stunning sunrises. Spend your day exploring the Grampians (40 minute drive) or relax with a book by the fire. See the stars from your private balcony. Here is a chance to get away unplug, regroup, and reflect in nature. The space The Grain Store Cottage is a charming country studio space, fully contained with ample kitchen and bathroom amenities. Suitable for a single or a couples, this quaint 25 sqm cottage is equipped with a pot belly fire to keep guests warm, a comfortable queen sized bed and homely nooks to enjoy some quiet time. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, fridge, gas cooktop, pots, pans, dishware and glassware. We supply drinking water, a selection of tea bags, instant coffee, milk, sugar, Salt/Pepper and cooking oil. There is a charcoal bbq on the deck (please check fire regulations). Charcoal is available in Beaufort. (please confirm in advance if you wish to use it ) Please clean after use Please remember mattress’s and pillow support is very personal thing we manage to keep 90% of our guests happy but unfortunately you can’t please everyone. Guest access Guests can drive right up to the side of the cottage to park. Please stay on the gravel and do not drive or park on the grass areas. The door will be unlocked and if arriving after dark the front light will be on. Please stay on the gravel. While staying in Valdara’s Grain Store Cottage guests will have access to the main paddock’s surrounding the accommodation. Guests are invited to wander the paddocks, find a place to sit and draw, paint, write or meditate with wonderful views of Mt Cole. Guests are able to request ‘meet and greets’ with Valdara’s resident flock of sheep and brood of hens, supervised by your host. Other things to note Your hosts provide self check in instructions via email no later than 24 hours before your arrival. Due to high risk fire danger - no open fires. Please shut gates when wandering around. We are on septic - please only flush toilet paper NO party policy, we respect the environment and our neighbors and request no loud music after 9pm.We are very grateful for the wonderful natural environment we live in and ask that our guests please respect it while visiting. Water is liquid gold and we appreciate guests being conscious of their usage. Rubbish is sorted in to recyclables and landfill, it would be greatly if our guests can organize their rubbish accordingly. Please turn off the air / heating / electric blankets and lights when not in the accommodation. Firewood has also become costly, we provide firewood and supplies for your stay (based on our experience) if you should require additional a small charge may be due. You are in the bush, we experience extreme weather at times, there are flies, bugs, insects, bats, birds, snakes, mice etc etc - please be careful when wandering around. We are a working hobby farm, whilst we do our very best to keep any works or operating machines happening when we have guests, we apologise in advance if by chance there is some of this noise.
