Blackwood Cottage

BLACKWOOD COTTAGE is a delightful cottage tastefully renovated and appointed. Everything for a peaceful “escape” is here. You will be delighted by the tree top views and birdcalls from every window whilst only a short walk from the famous Blackwood Hotel, General Store and the tranquil Lerdederg river's local walks. You will love the indoor fire on cooler months and enjoy the snug sitting room. On warmer nights enjoy the garden and alfresco dining under the pergola surrounded by apple trees. The space The Cottage is set in a garden with great views . The garden continues to be a labour of love and now being re-established. We have a divine "Italian" outdoor eating area with an old wooden "long lunch " table and overhead pergola, the perfect place for long, slow and relaxing lunches and dinner in the warmer months. A new deck has been added off the kitchen area providing a great space to sit and ponder the birds and nature. Guest access All Blackwood Cottage is available for your relaxing stay. Other things to note The cottage does have Free to Air TV but not Cable . Plenty of games and cards and reading material. The local pub is great for football, cricket and tennis watching if you need more than free to air TV!!. The cottage does has some DVDs and the collection is growing. There is limited Internet available for urgent email communication, or you may use your own phone hot spot or portable WiFi connection and HDMI for connection to the TV. Your connections need to be Telstra as other providers have weak connectivity in this area. The password is available on booking. The kitchen currently does not have a freezer but you may use the one in the laundry by arrangement, no problem. The same key that opens the front door also opens the laundry door. In fire season and on extreme hot days please stay tuned to ABC local radio intermittently, read the Fire section in the Cottage manual and down load and check the CFA Fire App on your phone (Telstra)
