Eagle's Nest Mountain Cabin

Eagle's Nest in the Smokies is the ideal base for enjoying all that Western NC has to offer, from hiking trails to waterfalls, from casinos to microbreweries, from ziplines to folk music, from boutiques to water sports. Recharge in your own secluded 4BR / 3BA mountain chalet. Minutes to Blue Ridge Pkwy & the eastern edge of Great Smoky Mtns Natl Park; use our kayaks, tubes & fishing gear enjoy nearby rivers & lakes. Sorry, our insurance won't allow pets. The space The cabin features an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings in the great room, 4 BRs, 3 baths, an office, a game room, and an expansive deck with a hot tub and propane grill. After you book, you will have access to the house manual online which has all the information on amenities and supplies. The road up to the mountain perch is fairly steep in some spots but paved, plowed in the winter when we have snow. So 4 wheel drive is not necessary. Guest access Enjoy the entire place from the remote mountain perch. Relax in the hot-tub, slow cook on the grill, enjoy the outdoor fire pit, or the remote control gas fireplace indoors. The home is equipped with 3 flat screen TVs, WiFi, an office. The kitchen is fully stocked a coffee maker (for K-pods and drip brew), blender, pots, pans, cooking tools, cutlery, china, glasses, mugs, and basic cooking aids (spices, vinegar, oil). We provide our guests with information on the area attractions, and you are welcome to use inflatable river tubes and kayaks at no additional charge. We can also recommend local fishing guides and restaurants. Other things to note Directions & Neighbors: Even though the houses in our development are fairly well spaced out, it is a quiet neighborhood. We ask that our guests with motorcycles or louder vehicles avoid revving their engines in the neighborhood and try to come and go during normal waking hours. PLEASE download or print the directions before you leave home because cell service can be spotty in the mountains. The address is 675 Forest Valley Rd, Sylva, NC. I am not sure about other GPS services, but I know that Waze and Maps will get you there. The cabin is actually a little farther than they think it is, but it is the next house on the left. Mapquest has the most precise directions and map. For reference, the cabin is 0.55 miles on the left on the main road after you turn into the neighborhood off the highway. There is only one other paved road in the neighborhood that turns left about halfway up the hill (Village View); stay straight for about another 0.3 miles on Forest Valley, and the cabin will be on your left. There is only 1 house about 0.2 miles past ours at the end of the road. If you reach that you have gone too far.
