Our bright Scandinavian-style retreat is ideal for a short or extended stay. It is the perfect place to keep your family secluded and entertained, while you remain connected to key transportation lines (LIRR) and in walking distance to a CVS, natural foods store, pharmacy, post office, and other key amenities located in beautiful Bellport Village. NO CAR NECESSARY. The space Spotlessly clean, this home has just undergone a full gut renovation. The owner-architect has removed the attic level to open the space completely, migrated the third bedroom to the lower level, transforming the space into a bright and airy beach bunglalow-style home that's perfect for a family, or a small group of friends to share. On the main floor, a large, open living / kitchen / dining area is perfect for entertaining and relaxing. The huge new kitchen opens to a back deck with grill and outdoor seating. The living room features two comfy sofas (sleeps 2), television, wood burning stove, ceiling fan, and a mix of modern furnishings and carefully selected antiques, including a clawfoot tiger oak dining table that seats 8. Two bedrooms on the main floor sleep one couple in Bedroom 1 (queen), plus up to four in bunks in Bedroom 2. There's also a small loft for bigger kids to play or sleep. A new tiled bathroom with pedestal sink and bathtub / shower combo is both convenient and private. On the lower level, which is partially underground and *not* ideal for winter rentals due to the cold, a third bedroom / media room scales up with a stacking sleeper sofa (sleeps 2). This room serves double duty as a media room with its large television and Roku for streaming movies (BYO Amazon and Netflix login!). An operable window provides fresh air and guests can find the control for a full house fan here as well. Privacy is provided by a large rolling barn door, which separates the room from the main downstairs area with its ping pong table and sofa that converts to a queen size sleeper! It's also on the lower level that you'll find the second bathroom with shower, a cedar-lined sauna room, and beautiful sink area. Last, a full laundry completes the checklist for everything a family needs. Guest access Guests have access to all areas, except one storage room and boiler room reserved for the owners. Other things to note Bellport Village is picture-perfect with a small town vibe, all while being remarkably and easily accessible to NYC. In walking distance are a marina, grocery store, pharmacy, organic market, beautiful public library, post office, and a large outdoor running track / sports fields. The downstairs level can be a bit chilly in the winter months. In the summer, it's divine, as it stays very cool! The closest public beach is Smith Point County Park.
