The space The retreat is a self contained cosy one bedroom bungalow on the South side of the Farm were owners John and Sharon live in the Old Dairy and are there to greet you and show you around on your arrival and are at hand if you need them. Their is space outside in the courtyard for relaxing with a glass of wine or dining in the sunset in the summer months in the courtyard or garden play area. Ideal for couples /small family of three to unwind and chill .Dogs are welcome and are allowed in the courtyard. With one main bedroom only with a double bed we can provide a cot for infants,high chair. Shower ,sink ,toilet room. Double sofa bed in the lounge/living area . The Living area has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, SMART TV with Freeview and Wifi. We provide complimentry milk tea,coffee,sugar , condiments, toilet paper. Our village shop is open until 9pm ,good local pub food ,chemist,drs,pottery shop all within walking distance or 5 minutes in the car . Local beaches 10 minutes away alongside the famous Blackgang chine. You also have access to a laundry room with washer and dryer in the courtyard and washing line provided in the play area . Parking is available at the entrance only 20 yards from your front door. With stunning walks and views straight out of the farm onto the downs. Unique to Hillside Retreat is our ability to offer a variety of Beauty Treatments on-site as we have a full treatment room at the farm you to book treatments prior to arrival subject to availability at Beauty necessities retreat. We have our dog Pippa, chickens, guinea pigs, two old shetland ponies on our farm in the yard/meadow that you are able to see and socialise with .We ask you not to feed the animals with out asking us, our chickens. Dogs welcome at a £35 charge per dog we are more suitable for one dog or two max ideally giving you comfort due to the space , fabulous walks straight out the yard onto the downs to enjoy with or without dogs, or even if you like running . Guest access The property is in a self contained space and you will have unlimited access to the courtyard which is located near the main owners house . Children's play area, animal petting meadow and farm yard, with your own parking space . On site salon available for a massage, facials,etc during your stay,wellbeing stays . Beautiful walks straight outside the door onto the downs going up the lane with beautiful scenery looking over the cliffs looking at the coastline along the south of the island great for walkers and dog walking. Dogs are aloud to be in the court yard we ask that you clean up after your dog please dogs are not allowed to the play area as we have chickens,guinea pigs ,ponies they easily get scared. we thank you for your co - operation and hope you enjoy your stay . Play area is available from 8am -8pm all children to be supervised by an adult at all times. Other things to note We provide a high standard of cleanliness in the property. A selection of complementary gifts will be left to welcome guests in the retreat these are biscuits,milk,tea coffee,sugar,eggs from our chickens treats for those with dogs.We offer treatments during your stay massage,facials and other treatments please contact us directly as we recommend pre booking. Also we are able to book you a ferry at a good discounted rate booked directly through us.Our chickens do wake up early so may be up at the crack of dawn but hopefully they won't disturb you on your country farm stay! Please note there is no access to the play area after dark for health and safety reason's. All children to be supervised by an adult at all times in the play area.
