Near Suttons Bay, Northport, Leland. 20 mi. to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Your base to explore beautiful Leelanau Peninsula! The space A great place to stay for exploring beautiful Leelanau. Simple, basic, clean. Quaint and rustic. Cottage Suite is one of 8 suites at historic Sunset Lodge in Omena, overlooking Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay. Private entrance with keypad lock. On 2nd floor of guest cottage built in 1895. Note: staircase is very narrow - NOT SAFE for toddlers & not good for those who have difficulty with stairs. King bed, bath, small living room w/ kitchenette. Bathroom w/ stall shower. Kitchenette has mini-fridge, microwave, toaster-oven, plug-in burner, coffee maker stocked with coffee & teas, electric water kettle, dishes, small dining table, convertible sofa. WiFi and smart TV (Roku & Fire). A/C window unit in bedroom. Ceiling fans, floor fans, electric space heaters. All guests welcome to use outdoor common areas: pickleball court, patio, lawn w/ great view of Omena Bay & outdoor furniture. Short walk to historic village of Omena with waterside restaurant/bar, tasting room, art gallery, historical museum and public beach. Ideal base to explore the Leelanau Peninsula. Nearby hiking and biking trails, beaches, rivers for canoeing and fishing, golf, shopping and restaurants, and the magnificent Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Guest access Guests have access to to pickle ball court, patio & deck, lawn w/ great views of Omena Bay. Other things to note A/C window unit in bedroom. Ceiling fans (both rooms) & floor fans, windows open for east-west breeze. Electric space heaters - in cold weather spaces might feel chilly depending on personal preferences. Suite is on 2nd floor up a NARROW staircase. If you have difficulty with stairs, or have a toddler/small child, this is not a good choice. Bedroom has door, but living room does not and it's open to the staircase - unsafe for toddlers/small children. Do not operate multiple appliances at same time please (might blow a fuse). No daily in-room housekeeping. Please separate your recycles from trash - use Recycle bins across driveway.
