Ansel's Cabin, Riverfront with Hot Tub
A glitter of green and golden wonder in a vast edifice of stone and space" is how Ansel Adams described Yosemite, but he could have easily been describing this section of the Snoqualmie River. If Ansel were alive today, this historic cabin would be his retreat; his muse. Ansel's Cabin is located on banks of the Snoqualmie river, anchored at the foot of Mt. Si’s granite face. This cabin is for people who need nature in their lives; a place to decompress, experience nature, and restore sanity. The space This breathtaking location in the Snoqualmie Valley is your gateway to outdoor activities like hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, climbing, and exploring. It is an ideal location for those wanting a convenient getaway to one of the most stunning natural landscapes in Washington. It is a place to recharge, focus, meditate, or spend time with somebody special and it's only 35 minutes from downtown Seattle. Rustic on the outside, and contemporary on the inside--this 300 square foot historic cabin resides on 1/3 acre and has 75 feet of accessible riverbank where you can explore, swim, or relax next to the rushing river. There is truly no place on earth like this. Guest access Guests will have the entire property to themselves. Other things to note TRAVEL INSURANCE - In an effort to keep rates reasonable and maximize calendar availability for serious travelers, we have adopted a strict cancellation policy. If you believe there is a chance you'll need to cancel your reservation after booking, please purchase the optional travel insurance from Airbnb or a third-party provider. Exceptions to the cancellation policy are unavailable. INTERNET - This home has high-speed cable Internet which is suitable for remote work. RIVER CONDITIONS - Please note that the riverbed is 500 feet wide and, although the river runs year-round, it may take a path through the riverbed that isn’t directly adjacent to the edge of the property. We have learned that some guests’ enjoyment of the property is dependent on the proximity of the water to the edge of the property and have created these guidelines to help you determine when to book for maximum enjoyment. If your enjoyment of the property depends on the close proximity of water and are unable to enjoy your stay when the river is at a distance, book in the Fall, Winter, and Spring when the likelihood of high-water events is greater. If you raging water concerns you, book in the Summer when water levels are lower and the river takes a more meandering route through the river bed. For detailed context, please refer to the USGS water data website for the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River for detailed flow data and forecasted river levels. HOT TUB - The hot-tub is NOT shared and is available for your exclusive use PETS - We don't host pets. We love dogs but have guests how are sensitive to hair and odors (allergies aside) so we've tried to maintain those conditions for them. Thank you for your understanding. CHILDREN - This home was specifically furnished and equipped to host adults. While we do not prohibit children, please note that the property, amenities, and the proximity to the river make this property an unlikely choice for families traveling with children. ROAD CONDITIONS - You will NOT need an all-wheel drive vehicle to reach this property (unless the entire region is hit by a rare snow storm). The roads are paved all the way to the driveway. EARLY CHECK-INS / LATE CHECKOUTS - Early check-ins and late checkouts are unavailable. We apologize but our cleaning staff cannot predictably accommodate extended stays. If you must arrive earlier or stay later than the prescribed check-in/out times, consider booking an additional day if available. Thank you for your understanding. FISHING - You can fish the river but need a license (see Wa State Dept of Fish & Wildlife website for more information) KAYAKING - You can kayak the river, but it is a Class 3+ and best left to experts. Kayaks and tubes are not provided, but local options for these activities are included in the house-manual which you'll receive upon booking. KITCHEN AMENITIES - There is no cooktop or traditional oven in the home due to the home's size (there would be no way to get the smell of cooked fish out of the furniture and bed between turnovers) but a microwave, toaster-oven, and propane BBQ (propane included) are all available for your use. You will also receive a curated list of restaurants in the area in the house-manual which you'll receive upon booking. FIRE PIT - The fire-pit is available for your use but wood is not provided (though sometimes it is left by a prior guest so feel free to use, if that's the case). A lighter is usually provided and is stored in the kitchen drawer but these are often stolen and the absence is sometimes overlooked by the cleaning staff. Please check the King County Washington website to determine if a burn ban is in effect. CLEANING PRODUCTS - We sparingly use scented laundry soap, but do not use fabric softeners, home air-fresheners, or pesticides around the property. POWER OUTAGES - Power outages can occur during the winter months. Though rare, it does happen when trees fall (which are in great quantity in this area). If this happens during your stay, you can wait for the power to be restored (usually within a few hours) or message your host and checkout. The unused portion of your stay can be refunded by contacting Airbnb.
