A dedicated on site manager maintains extremely high standards of cleanliness, and facilitates a safe, respectful atmosphere. Guests are kind, courteous, and strictly follow safety protocols. Located in the Junction Neighbourhood, a close walk to local parks, river trails, & downtown Guelph, this space is a great fit for professionals and grad students. The space The house is a regular family bungalow with a modern, renovated extension. Your shared space hosts 6 newly built Alcoves in a large beautiful room with cathedral ceilings. Each Alcove is open yet private, with its own amenities: usb plugs, reading light, fan, towel holder, hooks. The house is based on mutual respect and sharing common spaces in a trusting community. The house is clean, and organized, with a farm house character, fully stocked kitchen. You can book a desk in a co-working office space, located at the back of the garden, with high speed wifi. The main washroom is recently renovated with new shower fixtures and a natural river stone floor. The space has a beautifully collaborative community feel, where guests connect and share food and conversation. Over the last 7 years, we have hosted a diverse range of lovely, generous travellers from over 15 different countries. Guest access You are invited to use the whole house as shared common spaces: living room, kitchen, dining room or retreat to your Alcove as needed. There is a large, beautiful, naturalized backyard with a patio and hammocks for sitting and reading, and a garage for storage of extra or bulky items. Other things to note From June to October, every Thursday from 5pm-8pm, we host a potluck & CSA food pickup in our backyard next door that brings together community minded families from the neighbourhood & downtown Guelph. Although the farm vegetables are reserved for CSA members, you are most welcome to attend, and bring a potluck dish for the community dinner. We have a strict NO smoking policy. There is no smoking on the property, and within 20 metres of the property. This includes the neighbours' properties, the sidewalk and street within this range. This is an important house rule to protect air quality for other guests, reduce the risk of fire, and respect our neighbours' spaces. If you are a smoker, please walk well away from the property, collect and carefully dispose of butts, and do not disturb other guests or neighbours.
