Description

Luxury bespoke wooden glamping cabin in grounds of rural historic building - one double or two single beds The space Nestling in the trees perched on the side of a mountain overlooking a traditional Welsh valley town you’ll find Glanrhyd. In a corner of the grounds surrounding this historic former place of worship you can experience our BirdBox. A luxury self-contained cabin, fully heated, with it’s own wet room and either two single beds or one comfy double - let us know which you prefer when you book. A small but perfectly formed nest to base your relaxing break or a quiet work trip. Situated mid way between the Brecon Beacons national park with it’s stunning mountain landscapes and Swansea city centre, gateway to the outstanding Gower coast beaches, there is something to keep everyone entertained. With the M4 just a few minutes away there’s easy access by car to the whole of South and Mid Wales. There are good bus connections to Swansea, Neath and further up the valley towards Brecon. Travelling by train? Neath is the nearest station, let us know and we might be able to pick you up by prior arrangement. With plenty of off road parking with easy access to the cabin it’s just a short, few minutes, walk into the centre of the village where you’ll find most of the amenities you’d expect including shops, leisure centre, arts centre and just a few pubs, restaurants and takeaways scattered around. Be free to enjoy our grounds and outdoor spaces, take advantage of the BBQ or firepit* for a memorable evening. Take a walk along the river in the Plantation opposite, originally the gardens of a Victorian mansion house, through ancient woodland, to magical secluded waterfalls. Or head up the lane to the top of the mountain for an outstanding view over the town and valley; on a good day, you might see all the way down to the sea. If it’s raining turn up the underfloor heating, set the mood lighting and enjoy watching a DVD in a unique, cosy, space. Need room for more than two people? no problem, there’s space outside for you to bring a tent or two for an additional cost. * Charcoal and wood are available to purchase on site, in local shops or you're welcome to bring your own.
