Sweet Private Guest Room plus Top Shared Amenities

This luxuriously appointed small guest room inside our main house is furnished with solo females in mind and has a private bath en suite. It is private, quiet, and includes access to the kitchen and living room inside, and pool, spa, fire pit, and gardens outside --a great place for the solo traveler looking for a central location. We are also near several major medical centers. While the room is off-limits to pets, we do have three older cats and a Jack Russell Poodle dog on the premises. The space In this room, you can really recharge your batteries after a long journey. The Blue Room is small, comfortable and pleasing, with modern toile wallpaper and Portuguese linens on a bed layered so that it's both firm and so comfortable you won't want to get up! Use the big mahogany tray on the Belgian secretary desk for your morning coffee with toast, and set the tray aside to work at the desk. There's a coffee/tea cart, a smart TV and a private bathroom with a heated floor and bidet/toilet. There's also a closet and luggage rack, and plenty of storage so you can forget about your things when you don't need to access them. When you're ready, step out into the common areas inside the house - kitchen privileges included, and a shelf in the fridge. Feel free to enjoy our resort-quality yard with pool, spa, fire pit, and vegetable and flower gardens. Guest access The entry into our home is through the front door, and there is a lock on the door of your room as well. Once you're settled in, you can feel free to venture forth into the living room and kitchen, where you are welcome to prepare your food. You'll be given a shelf in the fridge if you like, and we are happy to share our chef's kitchen provisions with you as well. Please know that we love animals and have some pets! As noted, the room itself is off-limits to them, but you can feel free to enjoy them out in the yard, where you can usually find them. Brian is our charismatic fluffy geriatric ginger, and Pippy and Olive are our shy feline girls. Our dog, appropriately named Talulah Barkhead, is a small, exuberant rescue dog who loves everybody, will invite you to toss her a few frisbees, in between her job of being the guardian of the whole place. During your stay A little about us - MK works primarily from home, in rooms on the opposite end of the house, and David works as an education consultant. Most of the time, there is someone home, and there is occasional noise during deliveries (dog), and from the school across the street, but in general, it is a quiet lovely room in a quiet neighborhood in a big city. Other things to note We have two other Airbnb units on the far side of the pool, with guests who may at times use the common gardens and pools, but not the main house. We do not allow parties and our neighbors are all very quiet, respectful families in single-family homes. This being LA, there is inescapable ambient city noise, including our infamous helicopters and traffic, and we hope the warm, cheerful California sunshine and West Coast vibe more than make up for that.
