Solar Hill - Newly Built Log Home

This is a beautifully appointed Fully Functional Log Home built in 2018 with full Hydro and Solar Capabilities. It is not on a Lake. It has a full size kitchen with oven, stove, microwave and fridge, kitchen island and dining area. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The log home is nestled on 2.3 acres and secluded from local traffic. The cottage is powered solar/batteries and Hydro (Utility). In the event of an emergency there is backup generator to support the cottage. The space ENTERTAINMENT - Wi-Fi availability - Excellent mobility reception. - A variety of board games, cards, puzzles, colouring books available for entertainment. COMFORT - Recently refreshed, very comfortable, fully furnished and equipped with necessary accents such as blankets, pillows, kitchen accessories etc. - There is a large, oversized deck with full a south exposure and with beautiful wildlife scenery surrounding you. - The screen in porch is an extension of the kitchen which is furnished with muskoka chairs and a table with chairs for outdoor meals. - The log construction creates a thermal massing effect, whereby, in the summer the logs cool the interior space and in the winter they release the stored heat back into the interior space. The wood burning stove creates a toasty fire located in the living room. The Log Home is equipped with a furnace as well. - WIFI is available and Hydro (Utility) WHAT'S IN THE AREA? - Breathtaking Fall colours and Winter wonderland scenery with amazing wildlife. - We are 1 minute by car to Sir Sam's Ski Hill. There are snow mobile trails, walking trails, cross country trails close by. There is also the Haliburton Wildlife Reserve 30 minutes away. There is wolf habitant on site for your viewing. - Across from the ski hill is Sir Sam's Inn Water Spa with indoor and outdoor pools, access to the lake and various water and indoor activities. There is a minimum daily charge from Sir Sam' Inn to use their facility for the day. - Seasonal Deer Hunting is available. All hunting and fishing regulations must be followed as per the Province of Ontario, Ontario Federation of Hunters and Anglers and the Ministry of Natural Resources . It will be up to the guest to acquaint themselves of the regulations in the area. - The closest boat marina is Fort Irwin Marina (located 11 minutes away) located on Haliburton Lake which also provides boat rentals. The address is 5002 Haliburton Lake Road. Eagle Lake Country Market (2min ride) is a small grocery/LCBO Store that is very conveniently located and offers much of the daily groceries. Haliburton Village (15 min ride) offers the larger Grocery and Pharmaceutical Stores such as; Foodland, Independent (Loblaws), Shoppers and Rexall. There are local diners in Town and a Sports Bar (Mckeggs) Guest access Guests have access to the main floor, upper floor and basement as part of their stay. The basement has a ping pong table, dart board and exercise bike The walkout basement is only accessible during the winter months to remove wet boots and clothing prior to going upstairs to the main floor. Both garbage/recycling bins are provided in the basement. Other things to note Due to Covid restrictions, we req ire guests to bring their own linen and towels during their stay.There are; (1) Queen Bed and (3) Double Beds.
