This 5 acre property is private, quiet and peacefully nestled amongst and surrounded by huge boulders and wildlife on a hillside overlooking the desert for miles. The space Flamingo Rocks is a 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom house. Also a separated Activity & Game Room with an additional full bathroom and shower. Located at 3600ft elevation on a 5 acre property touching the Sand to Snow National Monument within a small neighborhood with about 12 neighboring houses in the immediate area. The property has lots of Joshua Trees, huge boulders and native flora. Frequent and daily sightings of wildlife. Beautiful hiking from the front door into the Sand to Snow National Monument. Coldest months are Jan/Feb with some snow in Feb/Mar. Hottest weather begins in early June-late Oct. Full desert bloom is mid to late May. The master bedroom has a king bed and a fold down sofa. Full bath with a free standing bath tub and separate walk in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a fold down day bed with a half bathroom attached. Concrete floors throughout. The bedrooms are at each end of the house with an open plan communal space in-between joining a full kitchen offering a full size stove/oven, reverse osmosis filtered drinking water, microwave and ice machine. All bedding and towels supplied. Relax in the spa and enjoy a jet massage. The pool and deck seemingly float high above the desert with incredible sunset views over the Sand to Snow National Monument and black lava buttes. With huge triple glazed viewing windows and the temperature controlled split system heat/AC in each room, the house remains nice and cool in the summer and warm through the winter months. North facing views from the large covered outdoor patio with gas BBQ and outdoor table setting means you'll have shaded protection from the sun all day while enjoying fresh canyon breezes from the west. Activity Room with 2nd full bathroom and shower. The weather can change in the desert at a moments notice, so we built a large 1000sqft climate controlled space for indoor group activities, games, music, fitness and meditation. It's a modular space that you can setup for activities to your liking. Floor to ceiling glass walls with views of the desert for miles. 86" Smart TV and bean bags for communal movie nights. Selection of Yoga and exercise, instructor guided, DVD's. Yoga mats and blocks, bands, jump ropes etc. are provided. Full competition size Joola Ping Pong Table. The 1/2 mile long dirt road to the house does have some shallow ruts and small rocks to navigate through slowly, but a standard 2 wheel drive car will not have any problems. You do NOT need a 4 wheel drive. Thank you! Guest access Access to entire house & property. Other things to note Due to the high cost of propane, if you would like to heat the pool there will be an additional fee requested prior to your stay for propane. Please advise prior to your stay if you wish to have the pool heated. Rates are seasonally adjusted to average usage. Pets are welcome and MUST be included in the reservation when making a booking. The property is not fenced and directly adjacent to wilderness therefore mounting a GPS tracker on your pets collar before you arrive is highly recommended. Firewood is not supplied, but is available to buy in bundles at grocery stores in Yucca Valley or at the Valero Gas Station 1 mile away. At times, there may be some firewood leftover from other guests. BBQ propane gas tanks will be filled with a starter supply and available for use.
