All major attractions of Split you can visit on foot, and the advantage is being close to the main bus station, railway station and ferry port (7-10 min walk). Other places that are attractive to visit and are not far are Adriatic islands, Brač(45 min with boat), Hvar(1h and 15 min with boat), Vis(2h with boat).
