Island Cabin in a rural paradise near the ferry

Surrounded by trees in a park-like setting, this cottage in a beautiful rural area is just 5 minutes from the ferry and 10 from Langley. It is set on five acres of exotic and native trees, creeks, ponds, bridges, meadows, and a small wildlife lake. The cabin is set in the trees, with a deck looking towards pasture and a huge wetlands. A well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and gas fireplace make for a wonderful stay. The space Please note, the cabin is a private, self-contained unit, but there is a separate downstairs unit from the cabin with a full-time tenant and a timid but friendly dog. This cabin used to be a family beach cabin on Camano Island until 25 years ago when we had it delivered by barge and truck to our Whidbey property. It is an original Lindal Cedar home, with cedar and shingled walls, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the deck and trees and open fields. Feel free to explore the land and sit by the lake. We see eagles, raccoons, otters, herons, ospreys and hawks on the property. Your hosts live on the other side of the property and are available to answer questions.
