Guest suite in Mars Hill

This quaint, 1930’s suite-style stay is near mountain hikes, and the many fine attractions for which the Asheville and Madison County areas are known. Mars Hill University is a mile away. The hosts provide snacks, fruit, cereal & oatmeal in your upstairs sitting room along with a mini fridge, Keurig, coffee & tea. Toiletries are provided in your bathroom. Bonus: no kitchen and no TV= a true getaway! The hosts respect your privacy. A truly comfy stay! The space The upstairs accommodation is all yours and is accessed by passing through the main level of the home. A very narrow, steep and twisty old-timey staircase leads to a vintage-styled, romantically decorated bedroom with fresh flowers, comfy sitting room, and a very large full bathroom filled with amenities. NOTE: The upstairs area has ceilings that measure from 6’3” to 6’ 8” depending on where you stand. The feel of the charming, cozy rooms are like a step back in time. NOTE: The home does not have central heat or air conditioning to the upstairs, but guests find the rooms very comfortable. During winter months, wool blankets are available. Electric blankets and heaters are also provided, altho’ guests report no need for them. In the summer, there is a window unit in the bathroom that cools the upstairs as long as the doors remain open. Fans are also provided. NOTE: The turn in the staircase allows for a very private area if you choose to leave the bedroom doors open. Guests love the quaint, antique-style space! Guest access Enjoy a stroll on the grounds, and take in the mountain view on the front porch or back and side decks. During your stay The hosts will be in the house, and are happy to visit, or offer you privacy. You might have the home to yourself for a few hours if the hosts have plans to be away. Other things to note If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic place to spend your time, this is it. Your hosts will assure that your stay is clean and comfortable, and that you have plenty of tasty snacks. PLEASE NOTE: even though a kitchen, microwave or a large refrigerator is NOT available, a coffee maker and mini fridge is provided. Breakfast, continental style, are provided in the sitting room. Fresh vase flowers are in the rooms. Allergy concerns? The hosts offer a totally gluten-free, houseplant-free, pet-free environment. There is not a TV or radio in the home.
