Comfortable 4-season cottage in the heart of the Pyrenees
Comfortable 4-season cottage in the heart of the Pyrenees
Description
This cottage is my weekend residence, so it's well-equipped and easy to access. Built on a 1000 m2 meadow, facing south, with remarkable views on all sides. It is located in a small mid-mountain village (altitude 700 m), close to a village with shops (5 minutes by car). Hikes of various difficulty levels from the chalet. Tavern in the castle located 300 m from the chalet, open in the evening during the summer season. The space This chalet in traditional construction (masonry + stones) is decorated in the mountain spirit (internal wooden lining), which provides a warm atmosphere. It is nonetheless equipped in a modern and practical way, because when we come there on weekends, we appreciate feeling comfortable there quickly. Moreover, it was classified 2* in the Furnished Tourist Accommodation category. Guest access Guests have two concrete parking spaces on the chalet grounds. From there, they have access to the house through a paved driveway with a slight slope, with 3 steps (we are in the mountains). In general, the land, about 1000 m2, has sloping (gentle) and flat parts. Guests have access to every room and an adjoining shed. It is therefore, on the ground floor, a living room + fireplace lounge area + open-plan kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet, and, upstairs, two closed bedrooms (the bedrooms are attic, the height under the central beam is 2.5 m, 1.6 m under the side beams and 1 m under the bottom slope beams). One of the bedrooms contains a double bed and a single bed, as well as a desk, the other a double bed (we do not provide sheets). Please note that the staircase is steep, its use is not recommended for small children. Only a second shed, containing the gardening tools, is not accessible. Note, an electric barbecue for the outdoors is available, but it is not allowed to barbecue in the fireplace of the living room. Other things to note I regularly use this chalet, so there is a very high-speed internet connection, via fiber optics (maximum download speed 1 Gbit/s, 800 Mbit/s upload speed), satellite TV and internet, a CD and DVD player and part of my music collection, video library and library. The rental is for a minimum of 7 days, 14 days in July-August. The displayed price of €63 (€66 from May 5, 2025) per night corresponds to the low season (i.e. outside French school holidays). The high season rate (school holidays) is €72. In winter (Nov 1 - May 4), these rates are respectively €73 and €79 to take into account the heating costs. These rates include electric heating and wood for the fireplace. A tourist tax has been instituted by the Community of Communes, it is, taking into account the classification of the cottage, an amount of €0.90 per day and per person. It is collected directly by Airbnb to be donated to the intercommunality.
