Miller's Rest

Miller’s Rest is a self-contained one bedroom cottage with private parking and 2miles from Orton, 5 miles from Shap. The cottage is peaceful with plenty of space and all modern amenities. The bespoke kitchen is well equipped, living room has a log burner effect electric fire for those colder nights. The bedroom has an ensuite shower room and large wardrobe. There is a small stream running alongside the garden lovely for sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine, relaxing and watching the birds. The space Miller's Rest caters for 2 guests. Scout Green is a small hamlet 2 miles out of Orton. Miller's Rest is self contained for your exclusive use. It has a cosy feel but is very spacious. Downstairs your private entrance enters the kitchen but with plenty of space to take your outdoor gear off and hang up. There is a separate dining area with full size dining table . You then enter the large living room with a sofa and armchair along with electric fire woodburner style making it a spacious but cosy room. Up stairs is the double bedroom with ensuite shower room and large wardrobe. There is off road parking and a small enclosed garden for your exclusive use. We named Miller’s Rest as a nod to the history of the old house where the Miller of Scout Green lived in the 19th century. Guest access The cottage is self contained for your exclusive use. The small garden is enclosed. Car parking is on the driveway this is shared with ourselves so we ask guests to park closest to the gate entrance to Miller’s Rest. Other things to note Miller's Rest is rural but is easy to get to just 10 minutes from the M6 making it a great location to reach north and south Lakes, Eden valley and the North Yorkshire dales. Eden Valley is often shortlisted in the media as one of those beautiful places to visit that few people know about! Dogs are welcome. Your dog should be included on your booking. There is a one off pet fee for all stays and a doggy care hamper available (includes paw towels, poo bags, bowels, mat, and bedding). The garden is enclosed. Miller's Rest is a quiet rural getaway, the countryside is gorgeous to explore with so much wildlife on the doorstep.
