Cozy, Private & Walkable Indoor/Outdoor Suite

Hello! We ask that you please send a note with your reservation request telling us a little about yourself and your reasons for being in the area. We love hosting and respect our guests' privacy but this is our home and it's nice to know who’s coming.. The space Clean, bright, cozy, private 1 room guest cottage on quiet, woodsy street that is about a 7 minute walk to the Montclair shopping district in Oakland. Cottage includes twin sleeping loft & sofa bed (slightly smaller than a queen size), fold down table and full bath (shower, no tub) across the breezeway. Includes wireless internet, mini fridge, microwave, kettle, dishes, space heater, nice new sheets, bedding & towels. No full kitchen. Table and chairs on private deck are in front. Guest access Separate entrance to cottage is up stairs and through a gate. Space is private and includes small deck overlooking valley, roof tops and street below. All is separate from the main house behind, under big redwood trees in a quiet neighborhood. Other things to note The space was once used as an art studio and we recently converted it as a comfortable, welcoming space for family, friends & Airbnb guests. It's small but comfortable and works well for 1 or 2 people or a couple with a small child. - You must go upstairs to enter the main gate. The stairs are typically lit until 10 pm. If you will be coming in after that time, please let us know so we can extend the time. -The twin bed is in a loft that requires the use of a ladder. -You step across the breezeway to enter the bathroom (slippers or flip flops recommended) Bathroom does not have central heating so it can be chilly in winter if the space heater is not used. - We have a little orange cat named Chloe. She will likely come by to say hello. - There is street parking for one car. As a courtesy to our neighbors and to ensure that there is adequate available parking, only one car per reservation, please.
