It's nestled in one of the few remaining old coconut estates in the area and is in the perfect position to explore Kandy and the surrounding highlights or just put your feet up with a book and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house was built by the British Army during the British rule in the 1940's as an Officers Mess. The house has history and now has a style all of its own. While staying in a mixed Sri Lankan / English home, you can experience real Sri Lankan life, while enjoying the benefits of English hosts with tons of local knowledge. We are a family with young children & 5 dogs (the dogs live outside and are not allowed in the house). You can taste the variety of traditional Sri Lankan home cooking, made with fresh ingredients, with a few western dishes thrown in. All 3 meals are (included in room rate) Breakfast A choice of either Sri Lankan or Continental (bread, eggs, fruit, tea or coffee). Guest access During your stay, you will access to the living and dining areas, front verandah and spectacular large river front garden with mountain views. During your stay I'm on hand to assist with travel questions and like to have lunch and dinner together (private dining is also available at the guests request), while also giving our guests space to relax during their holiday. Other things to note We have five friendly dogs on the property; Coco, Billy, Patchy, Lilly and Rosie who are always looking for some attention but if dogs ain't your thing we'll try our best so they aren't a bother :)
