Charming cottage in picturesque country village

Entire private flat within charming cottage situated in picturesque country village. 10 mins from Market Harborough train station. (Only 1 hr from St Pancras Station.) Half an hr from Stamford & Rutland Water and only 10 mins from small market town of Uppingham. We offer two interconnecting double bedrooms with shower room and kitchenette with dining table in family home. First Bedroom on 1st floor and 2nd bedroom on second floor, within apartment. Guests enter through the main front door of the family home (the owner uses the back door). The private guest accommodation is located on the first and second floors and is accessed via a steep staircase. The first double bedroom is on the first floor. To reach the second floor, guests must walk through the first bedroom and use a further staircase. The second double bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom are on the second floor. All of these areas are for the exclusive use of the guests staying in the accommodation. Because of the stairs and layout, the accommodation may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or anyone who is uncomfortable using steep stairs. Older guests who are used to stairs may be perfectly comfortable, but please consider the access carefully before booking. There are two double bedrooms, accommodating a maximum of three guests, together with a shower room and kitchenette. There is no separate sitting room, although the kitchenette includes a dining table and seating, and there are comfortable chairs in the bedrooms for guests to relax in. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle, but NO COOKER. The host provides tea, coffee, cereals and milk, which is kept in the fridge. There are several lovely local pubs nearby—please ask your host for recommendations—as well as a very good village shop just around the corner. The accommodation is particularly suited to adult couples, friends, guests looking for a base for local excursions, or those working locally during the day. It is best suited to guests looking for a quiet stay in a peaceful village. Cyclists are welcome to bring bikes, but please note that bikes must be left outside in the garden and cannot be stored inside the accommodation. Please mention this when booking. Preferably no pets, although this may be negotiable by prior arrangement. Use of the small garden is by invitation only.
