Please note: Only registered guests listed on the booking are allowed on the property, regardless of age. No unregistered guests or visitors are permitted. The house has five bedrooms and three shared bathrooms across three floors. You'll likely hear typical household sounds like footsteps and water running. One of the things guests love most about this home is the chance to meet fellow travelers — whether that means sharing a meal, hanging out on the patio with a drink, or just saying hello in passing. Of course, if you prefer to keep to yourself, that’s totally fine too. The house is quiet at night and not suited for parties — just a great place to relax and recharge. Each bedroom is private, and all bathrooms are shared (none are en suite). Before booking, please ensure your payment method is up to date. If payment isn’t successful within 30 minutes of your booking request being accepted, we’ll need to cancel the reservation to keep the calendar clear for others. Once your payment is sorted, feel free to rebook if the space is still available. Thanks for understanding. Guest access * Guests enter and exit through the back door only. Please don’t use the front door. Note that there are stairs leading to the back entrance, so keep accessibility in mind. Your guest area includes the main (ground) floor — your bedroom, the shared bathroom, and communal spaces like the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Off-limits areas: the basement, garage, and any other guests’ bedrooms. If you’d like to do laundry during your stay, we charge $5 per load to help cover utility costs — just let us know and we’ll coordinate through Airbnb. During your stay * The best way to reach us is through the Airbnb app, though you’re also welcome to talk to us directly. We live onsite — usually working at our computer in the basement — and we’re often available to greet guests at arrival. Either way, you’ll have smooth, independent check-in. Other things to note * To help keep the house clean, please take off your shoes in the mudroom and leave them there. Avoid wearing outdoor shoes inside the house. There are other housemates and guests in the home. We believe this adds to the experience — one of the best parts of staying here is the spontaneous camaraderie that often develops around mealtimes. This home is located in the city of St. John, in St. Louis County. It's quiet and close to the airport, but don’t expect a view of the Gateway Arch from the back patio. We occasionally cook and may offer to share, but that’s entirely at our discretion — not something to count on. Please note that we do not deviate from the listing's cancellation policy or allow date changes intended to circumvent it. We recommend travel insurance in case your plans change.
