Chateau Breduriere - Lodge Vix

The "Vix" is the middle lodge on the property where the 3 lodges are located. The lodges are far apart and all offer full privacy with a beautiful view. All lodges are conveniently located in the sun. Each lodge has a "driveway" with a private garden. Here is a sturdy picnic table with barbecue. The space The lodges are on wooden poles and are each 50m2, including the large and partly covered veranda. The lodges can be closed off via a wooden door. For the optimal "outdoor feeling", the front can be fully opened by rolling up the tent canvas. There is also the possibility to cook outside, by simply moving the cooking block to the veranda. Also available: fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator and movable cooking block, bathroom with toilet, shower and sink, living room with cozy gas stove, 2-person canopy bed, separate bedroom with 3 beds (1 bunk bed) and a spacious "walk-in closet" with lots of open closet space. Guest access Through a long leafy driveway, you reach the Bredurière estate and you can already see the charming castle. The estate is surrounded by a rolling landscape and a forest bordering a small river. The castle tower offers breathtaking views of the surroundings, even reaching the coast. The 17th-century dovecote has been restored and is still in operation. The pigeons of Bredurière fly in and out and circle peacefully around the tower. Through a rotating staircase, you can take a look at the breeding niches. The "holy" spring on the estate is on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella and is one of the special places on Bredurière. At the edge of the forest is the dog kennel of the old castle. This special kennel is still in its original state but is now in use as a playground with an outdoor ping pong table and a sandbox with playhouse for the little ones. Around the kennel there is also a trampoline, a swing and a football field. In the courtyard, next to the entrance of the swimming pool, is the "jeu de boules" court. The large heated swimming pool (100m2) is completely walled and is centrally located on the estate. The old walls, olive trees and lavender give the pool a typical southern look and make it a wonderful place to relax, enjoy and cool off. In the wine house, there are two large grape presses and old wine barrels. Nowadays, it is the covered meeting place where you can eat and drink together. In front of the château is a sloping wine field with Chenin, Merlot and Chardonnay grapes. Since 2015, you can enjoy your own Château Bredurière wine again. Other things to note Rates do not include mandatory bed and bath linens for €12 p.p. per week. The beds are made for you on arrival and kitchen towels are provided.
