Relax and unwind into Southcott. A beautiful Victorian house, retaining many of its lovely period features. It is set back from the main road only 1 mile from the friendly market town of Holsworthy. The town offers a range of amenities post office, leisure centre with a heated salt water pool, a Golf course, ‘Waitrose’ and ‘Co-op’ supermarkets, M&S, doctors and a hospital. Only 20 minutes from the beaches at Bude and the north coast. Excellent location for exploring the surrounding areas. The space Entrance porch opens into a generous hallway that is light and airy. The open plan sitting room, dining Room and Kitchen/Breakfast Room with its high ceilings and original features offer comfortable, welcoming, spacious living areas to spread into. The kitchen is extremely well equipped within extra fridge and freezer in the utility area. A real home from home kitchen. The house offers 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom, 2 Bathroom (1 en-suit) and a downstairs cloakroom. At the rear, there is a utility area with a washing machine and a condenser tumble dryer. The first floor offers a luxurious, spacious en-suite double bedroom, with a Jacuzzi bath and roomy shower. On cooler evenings, guests can light the log burner and get cosy by the fire playing board games or watch TV. Enough logs and kindling are provided for your first night. More available to purchase in town. The house sits in a 3/4 of an acre lovely maturing garden filled with mature trees and shrubs, offering ample space for rest and relaxation for you and your dog. There are two outdoor seating area ideal for alfresco dining and a fire pit to enjoy the full moon or those star filled skies. There is also a garden room with a wood burning stove. We welcome well behaved dogs. There is a pond in the garden which makes it unsuitable for children under 8 years old. The house is situated off the main road so it is not easy to just go for a walk. However, there a filling station/convenience store two minutes along the road from the house, with a raised verge to walk along. Please note that our bookings/changeover day for arrivals is Saturday from 3pm. Departures on Saturday at 10am. Min stay 7 nights. Guest access There is ample parking at the house. Guests have exclusive use of the gardens and patio areas. Other things to note The property is on a septic tank system so nothing other than toilet paper must be flushed down the toilet. We also request that you do not use antibacterial hand wash, body wash, shampoo etc in the property. We supply hand wash and washing up liquid for you to use. Inclusivity, providing a safe and inviting space to stay is important to us, and we welcome bookings from the LGBTQ+ community. We ask you to remove your shoes upon entering so you may want to bring your slippers to make your stay more comfortable. DOGS - 2 (please contact us first). As animal lovers, we welcome well-behaved dogs. We politely request that dogs are not left alone at Southcott if you go out. We also respectfully request that your dogs are kept off the beds and sofas. Thank you.
