Ski-in Private Hot-spring Lodge Koizumiya

Fuji rock shuttle service can be arranged. Located on the slopes of Nunoba, one of Japan's oldest ski hills, we are a two minute walk from the beginners magic carpet lift and kids snow park. Amazing sledding behind the house! We have 2 real private onsen (hot spring) baths! A short walk brings you to the Yuzawa Kogen Resort Ropeway. This former hotel is 100% yours as it is only rented out to one group at a time. The space The house is located right at the bottom of the Nunoba kids lift with easy access from the Yuzawa Joetsu Shinkansen station. It is equipped with a real onsen volcanic hot spring bath and has a large kitchen dining/living area overlooking the mountain. The first floor has two private onsen baths, one quite large and the other smaller. There is no parking at the house but there is a a large public parking lot five minutes from the house if you plan to have a car. The second floor has a large kitchen/dining area overlooking Nunoba Ski Area. There is also a large kitchen area and two bedrooms. The second floor master bed room has a king size bed with small sofa bed that can sleep two small children. A smaller bedroom on the second floor has either a king size bed or two singles. The third and fourth floors each have seven separate tatami mat rooms with Japanese futon (each room sleeps 2 easily). Heaters in the main living / dining / kitchen area as well as the master bedroom are all hard wired and vent outside (no refueling/no smell). Other rooms use standard Japanese kerosene heaters which need to be manually refueled (we have a large tank to refuel from). Guest access You and your group get access to the entire house. Very occasionally my family may be on another floor of the house (the top two floors each have seven rooms). These times, your group will have one floor of the lodge as your private space and will of course have full use of the first and second floors (onsen bath / kitchen & dining / bedrooms). Other things to note You can easily rent a car right from Yuzawa Station (reservation highly recommended...search online for "Toyota Rental Car Echigo-Yuzawa Sta. Branch" and you'll find a place in English). It's a fifteen minute (1.2 kilometer) walk to the station from the house and there are lots of restaurants along the road. Please check out the guidebook!
