Bon-Ot Big is situated directly above the San Bernardino Strait, which separates the Bicol Peninsula from the island of Samar. It's here where Spanish Galleons were passing through those treacherous currents on their way to Acapulco. The village is only reachable by boat from Matnog. The space The house is very rudimentary, therefore don't expect any comfort. An electrical fan and a bed is pretty much everything you can find in the room. Ideal for backpacker and adventure seeking solo traveller who want to experience to live in a simple house and learn about family life of a typical filipino rice farmer family. The shower is just a bucket shower in the main house next door. Guest access The main house is just adjacent to the guest house. Other things to note You can visit famous Subic beach by boat in around 30 minutes. You can take a tour to visit the rice fields in the River Valley. You can visit the Juang Fish Sanctuary by boat. You can go on a guided tour of Lake Bulusan (Bulusan Volcano National Park)
