A beautiful timber-frame home, with whole-tree mezzanine & moroccan tiled bathroom, just 3 miles from Totnes in lush devon countryside. Less than 10 minute walk from Eden Rise Barns, and Sandwell Manor. Close to beaches and moor. Surrounded by rolling hills. The space A converted barn space using roundwood from our local woodland to create a special living room environment / mezzanine bedroom area & loft bedroom with spacious bathroom. (*please check extra notes for sleeping arrangements). Our home is part of Old Hazard Farm, just 3 miles from the historic town of Totnes and really easy to get to. Surrounded by lovely devon lanes and walking pathways to the local pub in Harberton along the river Harbourne. And just 25 minutes from the sea with award winning beaches, and the spectacular Dartmoor hills. The main bedroom with super-kingsize bed also has a double bed on the mezzanine above. There is also a separate bedroom with a king-size bed and a nest room above with a double bed. It is also possible to have a floor mattress in the children's toy room and use the double sofa bed in the office. Easy to get to from Totnes along Plymouth Road by car or bike - not so easy using public transport. Alternatively it costs approximately £10 in a taxi or you could call us and we might be able to drop you in or out of town. Guest access The house is comfortable, spacious, and quirky... a good mix of wood, stone & comfort. There's a good sound-system, book case, eclectic record collection & wood-pellet stove in the light and airy living room. The fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, induction cooker, silent fridge, toaster is where we spend lots of time. In the living room there is a piano, and out back there's an enclosed private yard and small wooded area. The kids toy-room has lots of children's books and games. Parking is available for one or two cars. NB. It is important not to park outside of our gateway as this can disturb neighbours. Heating is fully sustainable with a wood-pellet boiler and solar-thermal. Access to lovely countryside walks (3miles to local 13th century Church House Inn at Harbourneford which serves fantastic food), and not far from here are award winning beaches & the wild spaces of Dartmoor - rivers and tors. We can help you find your way around & there are maps you can borrow to help you find the best places. Other things to note Important to note! Info on Beds & Spaces. This is our home and has our personal belongings in it. Please enjoy the space, put things back where they belong and respect our belongings. Sleeping Overview: Main space has upstairs mezzanine sleeping platform (in photo) with double bed. Accessed by steep wooden stairs - although we have installed a glass barrier between the mezzanine and the main room this space is not suitable as child sleeping space given there is no protective barrier over the stair-hatch. Downstairs in main-space can have an extra futon mattress for sleeping, and has sofa. 2nd room is above bathroom with double bed, accessed by a steep stair through the children's bunk-bed room. Again this is not suitable for young children given no protective barrier directly at the stairs. We have now removed the desk to allow more space so not exactly as in the picture. For long stays (beyond a week) we will provide a weekly cleaner at an extra charge of £15 per hour of cleaning. DOGS - please always check if you plan on bringing a dog.
